New Belarusian poetry collection explores revolution, exile, war
2021 wurde der Verband belarussischer Schriftsteller verboten. Damit existieren keine unabhängigen Schriftstellerorganisationen in Belarus mehr. Die Vorsitzende des PEN-Clubs Swetlana Alexijewitsch war schon 2020 ins Ausland gegangen. Im gleichen Jahr wurden fast 600 Autoren und Künstler inhaftiert.

Viasna – Human Rights Center Belarus
Viasna is a human rights organization supporting political prisoners and documenting political repression in Belarus. The Belarus police state emprisoned more than 1000 political prisoners and declared Viasna an “extremist” organization in August 2023.
