English journalist reports what she heard from an Ukrainian psychologist, who treated two Ukrainian soldiers after their return from Russian captivity. They were castrated while they were prisoners of war. Russia does not allow international observers into their prison camps.
As far I can tell this is not a systematic event, so calling it “castration genocide” is not correct. Even so it speaks of the completely derailed sense of morality in the Russian army and a deeply ignorant and misled society in Russia.
Hearing this has made me furious. I feel deep compassion for the situation of the two young men who have been violated and hope they can learn to see beyond the tragedy. I hope they find kind and compassionate company and they can find out that they can make life more wonderful in many ways and that there presence matters.
